An IPR course aimed to enable Students, Industrial and Academic  R & D  personnel and Faculty to create, assess and deal with Intellectual Property.  The course has been designed for freshers those have  no prior knowledge/

An IPR course aimed to enable Students, Industrial and Academic  R & D  personnel and Faculty to create, assess and deal with Intellectual Property.  The course has been designed for freshers those have  no prior knowledge/ certification in IP.
Trainer: Dr Srinivasan Krishnaswam            (Place :Bangalore)

The objective of undergoing the course is to learn-

  • The Need to Protect Idea, Invention, Innovation and Technology 
  • Power of Intellectual Property (IP) & The legal rights associated with IP
  • Inventorship and Lab notebook
  • How to create new IP (Making a disclosure and file a patent application) 
  • Office Action and Patent Maintenance
  • Importance of respecting others’ IP and related actions 
  • IP strategy for one’s program- Prioritizing what to protect 

Other relevant particulars of the course
The course is planned for a duration of 2 days amounting to 12 h excluding the time for tea and lunch breaks. A pre-course exercise which could demand about 2h from participants is an additional feature. The key feature of this course is hands-on exercise to reinforce the learning from short lectures on IP. 60% of the time in the course will be for lectures/explanations and the balance 40% of the time for hands-on practice and Q/A. A large number of hand-outs will be provided to the participants at the time of the course. The preferred number of participants is in the range 15 - 25.
